Post an OpenVPMS User Interface enhancement idea bookmarklet

Have you ever been using OpenVPMS and thought "gee, it would be alot better if you didn't have to click...." or "that doesn't make sense it should ask....."? The trouble is once you have moved on you forget about it.

By using the OpenVPMS UI idea bookmarklet you will be able to quickly fire off an email that sends that idea to the OpenVPMS website and then you can carry-on with what you were doing.

What is a bookmarklet?

It is just like a bookmark or favourite. It sits in your bookmarks or favourites folder but rather than being a link it runs a small piece of code. In the case of this bookmarklet it just opens your system's email program and adds an address, subject and some text for you to edit.

How do I install it?

It's easy. If you using Internet Explorer right click on the large text in the box below and select add to favourites. In any other browser all you need to do is drag it to your bookmarks bar.

How do I use it?

When you have an idea for an improvement to the interface simply click the bookmarklet in your favourites/bookmarks and it will compose a new email. Make sure you use the email address registered for your account on openvpms.org as the from address, otherwise it will be rejected. Follow the instructions in the email, click send and then carry on, it's all done.

Your post will appear in the user interface improvements project area once it has been processed.
