Notes section on Supplier

Hi,

Just wondering if it is possible to have a notes section on the supplier tab. We would use this for notes for the opening hours of our referring clinics, but could also use for contact names for Cenvet or whatever.

I have created a project for this one (http://www.openvpms.org/project/add-notes-section-supplier) and a Jira (https://openvpms.atlassian.net/browse/OVPMS-1090).

 

Will see what the expected cost is!

Hi Greta,

Just for your information you can add a contact on the Supplier representative tab.  This adds a Supplier (Person) record with associated contact information etc.

Hi Greta and everyone,

This has been costed at $850.

Greta, you should check Tony's comments reharding the existing ability to add a contact within Supplier which gives the ability to record contact details etc and make sure it doesn't already meet your requirements.

Thanks Matt and Tony,

It doesn't really solve my problem for opening hours of referring clinics, but I don't think anyone else would need notes on Supplier rather than Contact Representative. So, I am happy to let it go if no-one else needs it and we will just find somewhere else to store that information.

Hi Greta,

You can add documenst to suppliers so maybe that area can be used to hold further supplier information.  Or if you want we cna make a change to the supplier archetype(s) to add a Note field there ?

Again, if no one else is going to use it then I'm fine for the project to be discarded.
