Animal age changes

Development Project Status: Seeking Funding

This project has two parts;

a) Change the age function so that if the difference between current date and birth date is < 180 days then display in Days or Weeks. Currently it is set at 90 days as of version 1.4.

b) Add the age of the animal as of the visit date to the visit description.

Support for Multiple Stock Locations per Practice

Development Project Status: Stalled

This feature seeks to create multiple stock locations within a single practice. An example might be multiple dispensaries or the addition of a mobile dispensary such as a vehicle. This may be of particular use in large animal clinics.

There is some discussion as to how the location might be selected when dispensing products without having to add another step to the billing process.

Update (18/09/2009):

Reducing the Clicks

Development Project Status: Completed

THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN REPLACED BY the USER INTERFACE IDEAS ongoing project

Hi everyone,
When we originally talked about the design of OpenVPMS we had in mind the cut back efficiency of text based Netvet with the richness of a mouse based, graphical interface. We said we wanted the best of both worlds. The netvet users amongst us were getting a modern product that did heaps more but we were going to sacrifice some speed and efficiency for it.

Dose Calculation

Development Project Status: Stalled

This project has stalled due to lack of interest or user traffic.

This project is a spin-off from discussion about including the dispensing units in the label dialogue.

Forum: www.openvpms.org/forum/seeing-dispensing-units-during-invoicing

The idea would be to include dose calculations which would automatically complete the quantity box based on the patient weight, concentration of the drug and species.

Minor tweaks 1

Development Project Status: Under Discussion

These tweaks came from the original incarnation of the Reducing the Clicks topic.

I have created this development project for the 1.5 release. The feature list below has had some cursory discussion from the developers but will need some fleshing out before I can give a pricing.

Cheers,

Matt C

The OpenVPMS Business Analysis Toolkit

Development Project Status: Ongoing

There have been several topics raised in respect to this. Nick raised the ability to export data in a chosen format. Bayer has expressed interest in creating the ability for pratice managers to export data automatically and even in a scheduled fashion. There have been a variety of requests for practice reports in other posts as well.

Tony De Keizer has suggested an approach that could encompass all of these requests and future anticipated needs as well. Essentially the key steps are to;

a) Create a Data Warehouse

User Interface Ideas

This is a space to post your own and vote on others ideas on improvements to the user interface in OpenVPMS. It is based on Matt Costa's 'Reducing the Clicks' project but encompasses a wider range of improvements and will be ongoing. You can:

Schedule blocking

Development Project Status: Ongoing

The initial idea for this very welcome suggestion came from Tim www.openvpms.org/forum/staff-time

Tim suggested as part of fixing a bug discovered by Jocelyn, that we develop a blocking option for our schedules. Furthermore that this blocking option might have a recurring basis. The first step towards templating our schedules re availability. Gerrie suggested a more detailed model for building schedules and this development project was born!
