Emails Blocked with implementation of TLS 1.2

Our hosting provider has just enforced the use of TLS 1.2 connection security for emails and FTP over the past 24 hours.

Our OpenVPMS settings have been the same since "forever" with port 465 and Connection Security of SSL/TLS but now all emails (and sms) are blocked.  Emails are sent and received ok using the same settings in Mozilla Thunderbird.

This is error message I get when trying to send an email today:

Failed to send email to "username[at]whatever[dot]com": Mail server connection failed; nested exception is javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: mail.sunshinevet.com.au, port: 465;
nested exception is:
java.net.SocketException: Connection reset. Failed messages: javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: mail.sunshinevet.com.au, port: 465;
nested exception is:
java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

Is there another setting somewhere I'm missing?

Yuri.

Re: Emails Blocked with implementation of TLS 1.2

Support for TLS 1.2 was added in OpenVPMS 2.0.3. It should work without changes.

Verify they haven't changed the SMTP port.

Aaha,  I'm still on 1.9.3.
Port is still 465.

I'll try gmail (and its "less secure app" setting).

Thanks.
