Improvement: Migrate to LibreOffice 6.x as a baseline for server rendering of ODF files etc.

Can I suggest we migrate and start supporting Libreoffice as opposed to Apache OpenOffice.

AFAIK we still use 4.0 as the doc dependency.

Libreoffice renders DOCX and DOC files and supports the OOXML standard, with better consistency than AO 4.1.

Libreoffice is in most repositories v requiring a manual "deb" based download and install.

The install guidelines still specify AO 4.1 which is pretty out of date .... I have been using Libreoffice 6.x on one install without major issues.

Re: Improvement: Migrate to LibreOffice 6.x as a baseline ...

For our purposes, the OpenOffice and LibreOffice APIs are compatible so you should be able to use either.

I haven't advocated using it as a number of high volume sites had stability issues and went back to using OpenOffice.
