Require a clinician for invoices?

Hi,

I just noticed that today a large amount of our work was done by --No Clinician--. They are a great employee :-).

Is there a setting to require a clinician to be set on an invoice?

And how the hell did they do it so I can politely request they don't do it again.

Thanks again for your help.

Chris.

Re: Require a clinician for invoices?

This isn't supported. It doesn't necessarily make sense to force a clinician to be assigned to an Invoice e.g. for grooming, puppy class, or boarding appointments.

Re: Require a clinician for invoices?

Did you mean the Invoice or the Invoice Items Chris?

I can't think of a context where the user creating an invoice item should ever be None (even in the scenarios you described Tim).

I imagine a required user would be a default use case for most clinics with only a few not worrying about it?

Re: Require a clinician for invoices?

I was thinking on the items. I don't seem to get much value from the name on the invoice, but that's just my thinking so far. (Im sure it's there).

I would like to have it required. Even if it just shows Who is entering the info.

Re: Require a clinician for invoices?

Same here Chris,

The Invoice clinician doesn't apply in our clinic at all.

I think Require User Practice configuartion option might have broad appeal.

Happy to support if more users would like this and contribute to funding if needed.

Re: Require a clinician for invoices?

Hi Chris and Matt,

Just for you rinformation the Invoice Clinician is used in some reports i.e all items independent of their clinician are allocated to the Invoice clinician rather than the item clinician.  Essentially this can be used to get primary accession clinician financials if required.

Cheers

Tony
