Service Ratio by Client

Hi All,
Is it possible to apply a service ratio for professional fees by particular clients. ie - to apply a 15% surcharge to particular clients you could assign them a ratio of 1.15. I've seen this used in the PMS.
Many thanks
Anthony
Re: Service Ratio by Client
Service ratios are practice location based. There isn't any direct facility to do on a per client basis.
You could charge these clients by selecting a practice location which applies a 15% surcharge on product types.
See https://www.openvpms.org/documentation/csh/2.3/concepts/pricing#serviceR... for more details.
In OpenVPMS 2.4, there will be support for department based service ratios, which are independent of practice locations. Here, you could use departments to apply the 15% surcharge.

Hi Tim,
We have been thinking of applying a service ratio to a particular customer account type. This would involve creating a phantom practice location. What you are saying about departments, would it apply to customer account types without the need to create another customer location?

In OpenVPMS 2.4, Departments will represent areas of a practice such as Consulting, Surgery, Emergency etc. They are used to:
When enabled, each invoice item can be associated with a separate Department.
So they aren't related to customer account types, but could certainly be used in place of a phantom practice location.
