SMS Not Sending from Client Screen (2.3)

I feel like I'm playing Whack-A-Mole as I finish setting up 2.3 (upgrading from v1.9.3).

  • Mail Server correctly set in both Practice and Practice Location.
  • Sending emails from within OpenVPMS are working.
  • Sending a sample SMS from Organisation | SMS Configuration Generic Email Gateway works fine.

However, sending an SMS from the left client info panel SMS button - window closes when ok is clicked, no error message appears but SMS is never delivered.

The message should be displayed in Workflow - Messaging.

Pending.  (never noticed this window before).

All SMSs since upgrade from 1.9.3 are listed as Pending.  All SMS prior to upgrade listed as Sent.

Sample SMSs from Gateway page are being delivered but not listed on the Workflow-Messaging page.

Make sure you have configured a Service User on the Practice.
 

This is required for background services, including SMS.

I saw that, looked up "Service User", saw information that it was required for HL7, thought "don't have HL7" so I don't need to configure that. Sigh.
