Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

I recently converted my main clinic and bought it over to OPENVPMS

everything has been smooth for the last 45 days or so

Reminders are due.

So I went to run them.

Taking 1 example

Canine C5 vaccine.

Setup

0 sent 0 days overdue send Reminder First

1 sent 30 days overdue send Reminder Second

2 send 60 days overdue send Reminder Second as A LiST

Reminder First and Reminer Second have been set up a Doc Templates .ODT format

All the 0 send reminders work flawlessly

when I try and manaully hit the PRINT button from the Reminder Workspace on ANY of the ones with 1 or 2 sent I get the message

Cannot print reminder. There is no document template for Canine C5 Yearly Vaccination with a reminder count of 1

I have doubled checked the templetes, I tried deleting the relevant lines in the Reminder Type and readding them...Im stumped.

Out of interest

what would a setup

0 sent 0 days reminder 1

0 sent 30 days reminder 2

acheive, when I imported I used set a figure ins REMINDERS SENT to ensure overdue reminders got sent during the conversion.

Re: Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

Hi Ben,

I suggest you check the templates tab on that reminder type and untick "Hide Inactive templates".  I think you have an inactive template that is mucking things up.

Cheers

Re: Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

Ben - I think I know the problem.  I have completed the Reminder documentation for the CSH project.  See http://www.openvpms.org/documentation/csh/1.7/concepts/reminders and its links.

I think your problem is covered in item 4 at the bottom of http://www.openvpms.org/documentation/csh/1.7/reporting/reminder

You might find http://www.openvpms.org/documentation/csh/1.7/admin/type/reminderType useful also

Give me a yell if this does not fix/address your problem and I will tweak the help pages as needed.

Re: Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

I have tried the following

I deleted the template causing the error  and created a new template

I added it back to the remindertype with the settings as previously described

They same error occurs

I can "view" the templates content correctly on the view screen and a printer is set.

I did check for deactivated templates - no luck

I also checked the content of the one I deleted and it seemed fine.

I should have said SAME error occuring

Re: Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

You may get that message if its determined that the reminder should be cancelled.

Alternatively, maybe your reminders are linked to a deactivated reminder type named "Canine C5 Yearly Vaccination"?

Re: Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

the "action" is listed as EMAIL or post for most of them.  and I am postivie I dont have ANY deactivated reminders

Re: Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

Don't know; contact me off list if you would like me to look at the db.

Re: Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

Increasingly bizarre

In frustration (and because I wanted to send what I could ) I hit SEND ALL.....

They all went, even the ones still erroring with the PRINT button...

Im back at work tomorrow will investigate further.

Re: Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

I just ran into this issue as well. Said no document template found for everything w/ count 1. We just started doing 2nd reminders, so was a little concerned. As with your experience Ben, things worked fine with "Send All", but not with "Print" (which is how I test the templates usually).

Cheers, Paul

Re: Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

Looking back Paul, I realized at the time that the reminders in question were not being sent....it just wasnt errorring, best to check email logs afterward and make sure

Post logs here -

Additionally reupload the templates to ensure that they are worlking.

Check logs after sending.

Post here if issues are still occuring,

Re: Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

Sorry to revive this old thread but I encountered this error as well.  We are now setting up for our first round of reminders and I am doing some test cases in our practice version of the program.  "Print"ing a reminder  with a count of 0 is fine, but I get the error regarding no template when the count is 1.  If I "Send All" instead, all are printed without error.  Haven't tried sending by email yet.

Re: Urgent Assistance regarding Vaccination Reminders

What is displayed for the reminder in Action column in Reporting - Reminders?

If it is Cancel, you won't be able to print it.

If it is Skip, it means that the reminder is not due, or there is no Template corresponding to the Reminder Count in the Templates tab of the Reminder Type. You can print it if is not due, but only if the Template is configured.

Anything else should print OK.

Also see point 3 of Notes in Reporting - Reminders.
