VetConnect PLUS Plugin

How does one obtain the VetConnect PLUS and Petsure plugins?
They're not in the v2.3 install package (only a species.xml in /data/IDEXX).

Re: VetConnect PLUS Plugin

Hi Yuri,

Typically these are available from the suppliers (Petsure and Idexx).  We can arrange for them to provide links to the jar files so you can download.

For anyone using our support services we typically load them as part of the 2.3 upgrade process.

Cheers

Tony

Sorry, missed this reply somehow.

Thank you, that would be helpful.  (I did phone IDEXX - they said it was openvpms-supplied and they didn't have the jar.)

Does this mean these plugins are now payware?

Yuri.

Re: VetConnect PLUS Plugin

Hi Yuri,

Plugins are sometimes supplied by OpenVPMS when they have been developed by OpenVPMS and come with the release package.

Other plugins where developed by third parties i.e Idexx and typically provided by them to their customers.   I haven't seen them cost anything previously so not sure what you mean by Payware ??

Now when Vertical Connect was a separate entity we would liaise with Idexx and load the plugin and configure integration plugins like Idexx's for our customers

Now we are merged this may work differently.  I.e you can get the plugin jar file from Idexx as originally suggested or we can provide a link to it given approval by Idexx to our support[at]openvpms[dot]com email address.  If we are not involved in setup and configuration then there is no charge otherwise a time based charge will apply. Typically 15 minutes to setup.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers
Tony

Aah ok, my misunderstanding, sorry.

Perfect  sense.

No I can't - I tried that - I rang IDEXX and was told "yes we developed  and it's fantastic etc etc it but it's nothing to do with us now, you need to get it from OpenVPMS." indecision

>we can provide a link to it given approval by Idexx to our email address

Thank you - email on the way.

Yuri.

Re: VetConnect PLUS Plugin

Thanks for plug-in.  Followed excellent instructions and was setup in 20 minutes or so.

Quick (dumb?) question.

Do I need to have IDEXX Lablink installed (as well as configuring doc loader) for this plug-in to receive reports from IDEXX or is that all integrated into the plugin?

I ask as OpenVPMS is sending everything to IVLS ok and results appear on the vetconnect website and our smartphones but OpenVPMS investigations remain on "sent" for IVLS and "pending" for Reference Lab submissions.

Yuri.

Re: VetConnect PLUS Plugin

Hi Yuri,

You don't need Idexx Lablink and should uninstall it.

It would seem the Idexx polling for status updates and results etc is not working.  Can you send your logs through (Administration -> System ->Diagnostics -> Logs .. mail logs).

We will check them and hopefully work out the issue.  :-)

Cheers
Tony

Re: VetConnect PLUS Plugin

Hi Yuri,

Thanks for the logs.  The communications with Vetconnect seems to be working as expected.

Where you using HL7 previously?

Did you edit your products to link to the new Vetconnect tests as that is an important step otherwise you will be using the original Investigations/Tests linked to HL7 /lablink ... ?

Cheers
Tony

No.

Yes - that took the longest time as I had to go through each individual lab product and link each to its nearest appropriate VetConnect test in the case of IVLS.  Ref Lab tests were easier as I could easily match IDEXX's 3-letter code for tests to our products.

I then checked on previous pre-VetConnectPlus investigations and noted all of them said "DEACTIVATED" against Investigation Type.
