Which documents should have letterhead?

Some of you will know that we are moving towards a 'common letterhead' approach for 1.9 - ie all the customer documents (ie invoice, credit, receipt, etc etc) that currently need their jrxml files modifying to customer for an individual practice will use a common letterhead sub-report and the standard version of this will automatically include a specified logo, and the required name, contact and tax registration information.

My question is: what other documents should be tweaked to use the standard letterhead.  Candidates are:

  • Patient Medical Records, Patient Clinical Problems (which have none currently)
  • Supplier stuff (currently a mix of no letterhead and have letterhead needing customisation)
  • Debtors Statement
  • Grouped Reminders, Patient Reminders

All of the above are documents that are/may be sent to outsiders and thus should have an appropriate letterhead.

Note that I have not yet started looking at how to apply a standard letterhead approach to the various odt documents - but it shoud certainly be possible.

Comments please.

Re: Which documents should have letterhead?

  • Patient Medical Records, Patient Clinical Problems - yes
  • Supplier stuff - don't know
  • Debtors Statement - yes
  • Grouped Reminders, Patient Reminders - yes

I suspect it won't be possible to support letterhead images in .odt or .doc templates without code support, using Placeholder fields.
