Many visits when billing

Do other users see this?

When we bill a customer by clicking on their link and then editing their current invoice, every billed item with a label creaes a new visit in medical records. Note this is not during a "Consult" workflow. Just when direct editing.

It happens most of the time, whether there an in progress visit exists or not. But not ALL of the time...

Inadvertent Product inactivation

It has been found that several times users (unidentified of course) have accidentally deactivated items. This seems to occur when they are editing charges or accounts and instead of clicking on the line the click on the hyperlinked product name. The resulting product screen looks just like an invoice so they end up clicking edit and delete thus de-activating the item. Very frustrating to have to reactivate when in the middle of invoicing and of course some do not know how to do this

Follow up lists for patients of interest

Hi everyone,

 

We all have the case we want to follow up on. One option (discussed in another forum post) is to create a tasklist and add them to that. The problem with us is that we have many vets and that would create a lot of tasklists when "admitting" a patient to our list.

 

But...

 

Messaging

I find the messaging area in workflow very useful but have not got into the habit of using it regularly. Would it be possible for the messaging screen to come up first when you log in rather than the customer screen - this would prompt any staff who log in to read their messages at some stage during their shift

Random dispensing error / Document Linking

We have certain drugs that regularly but randomly behave oddly and wonder is this previously a reported bug:
- On invoicing the medication skips the label screen
- it will not let you add more medications
- to resume we need to apply / ok the product and then re- consult whence it will usually allow you to re enter and label print the drug

Will the real clinician stand up ?

Recently I have been asked a number of questions about the use of the clinician field. Specifically why it is requested in so many places and how does the application set and remember which clinician to use during every day work flow. I thought it would be worthwhile outlining my findings and prompt some discussion on areas where this does not work as expected or where it should be changed to simplify data entry. Here goes ...

Power of OpenVPMS & Bpay

Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd drop a story about what we have managed to get working at our clinic.
By learning some scripting and tinkering for some time we have managed to get our incoming bpay notifications from our bank to stream straight into an open VPMS tasklist.
Every day a scheduled set of scripts will check for the encrypted files, decrypt them, link them to customers and then create Tasks in a dedicated Worklist.

Navigating through products

When editing products it is quite tiresome having saved one to have to go back and select again in the multi page product list. Would others find it easier to have either forward / back arrows to keep going through the list or at least after saving to be able to click back to where you were last time you searched in the list.
Maybe I have not found an easier way of doing it. Any suggestions or is this on developers list already.

History Filter

When you add history notes you can also choose from the drop down lists to add weight, problem, medications etc. To save scrolling through long histories looking for previous blood tests, medications etc would it be possible to filter the history by these same headings. It would make things much easier.

Double consult error

Twice today we have had 2 screens open to enable seeing one clients 2 pets' histories simultaneously. In editing the notes for the consult in either one it failed to save and produced the 'may be in use by another user' error.

Is it not possible to use 2 screens in one visit? We were not invoicing on 2 screens just editing history notes.
