Email 'name' field not exposed in customer contacts

Although the contact.email archetype has a name field (just like the contact.phone archetype), on the customer details new/edit screen, it is not exposed to be edited and receives its default value of 'Email Address'.

With the phone number, the name field is exposed and allows one to enter details like 'Partners mobile'.

Although it is less common to have multiple email addresses (than multiple phone numbers) where a name field would be useful, I suspect that it is becoming more and more common to have both a 'standard' and a 'just for emergency/family contacts' email address.  It is certainly true that in many families, each partner has their own email address.

Yes there is a Purpose field, but when you are converting form another system like I am, that's not much use when handling addresses labeled 'Email (Rodney)' and 'Email (Susan)'.

Hence, please expose the email name field for editing. [My Kettle conversion code loads the name field, and it gets displayed, but one cannot edit it.]

Re: Email 'name' field not exposed in customer contacts

Can you raise a JIRA for this?

You'll need an account, so go to https://openvpms.atlassian.net/secure/ContactAdministrators!default.jspa and submit a request with your name and email address, and I'll create it for you.

Regards,

-Tim
