Clinician selection is not limited by practice location

If you have multiple practice locations, and clinicians set up as users assigned to specific practice locations, then the system allows you to select a clinician who is NOT assigned to the currently selected practice location.

Is this a feature (allows vets assigned to one practice location to be used in others) or a bug?

Re: Clinician selection is not limited by practice location

I think the assignment of location to user was done to allow the default location to be set when a user logs in.

I dont think its a bug.  We commonlty have nurses, who only at location A make appointments on location B schedule for clinician C (who only works at B)

It is used to select the default location, but could be extended to restrict clinician selection.

For backward compatibility, clinicians with no locations assigned would need to be selectable at all locations.

Re: Clinician selection is not limited by practice location

Hi,

It is used to select default location and also limit location selection for specific users.

The clinician selection issue is probably an oversight but I can see equally good reasons to leave as is and to change.
