Editing reminders for patients

Our worming reminders are set to go out every 3 months. In some instances for example puppy worming reminders are due fortnightly or monthly in this case we don't want the 3 month reminders to go on the system.

To get around the default 3 month reminder do we have to go to the patient -reminders/alerts tab and cancel or edit the reminder each time we charge for a pup or kitten worming treatment OR is there an easier way around this?

Re: Editing reminders for patients

Hey sandra, my advice would be to set up different products (eg. Wormer < 12 weeks old). This creates problems with stock control unfortunately. The problem is that even if you set up a 1st,2nd ,3rd worming reminders each with their own intervals it doesn't solve the problem that if you dispense the product to an adult, it will go through the same sequence of reminders.

not much help im afraid, Matt

Editing Patient Reminders

Sandra @ Bellarine

The penny has just dropped!  Every time we re-invoice a new worming preparation it cancels the previous reminder of the same category. So if the clients come in fortnightly then monthly for pup worming each purchase will over-ride the previous reminder until they get to the 3 monthly worming regime at 6 months of age.

I suppose the only problem would be for that period from pup to 6 months of age the patient reminder records would not be accurate.

Sandra.
