Was just wondering if in future there could be a feature implemented where we could directly edit document templates through Open? It is currently very tedious trying to edit or add templates (such as a euthanasia consent form for example) as (from my understanding) it needs to be uploaded as an external file?

Would be a massive time-saver to be able to just open the template within Open and be able to edit it as needed - all PMS I have used previously are able to do this and it's frustrating not being able to.

We have a lot of duplicate clients on our system. I know there is a report for duplicate clients, but I'm wondering how we can prevent the duplicates at the start rather than merging them later.

Would there be any possible way that OpenVPMS could scan existing Customers phone numbers when a staff member is adding a new customer?

Some type of pop-up that would say "A customer with this phone number already exists - John Smith 0400123456, would you like to open that customer instead?"

Hi there,

I am having trouble delivering my invoices.

I have attached a screen shot of the error message.

The strangest thing is that eventually, could be 2 weeks time, the invoices do import.

I have spoken to Provet and they can not work it out.

Hoping someone may have experienced this and can help out.

I hear that OpenVPMS are "super keen" on integration with VetNotes, a new app developed by Mitchell Sigley, the son of 2 vets from the NSW Central Coast. It translates verbal notes/records into written patient records and sounds quite promising.

Is there any truth to that? Happy to contribute.

Currently the medication dose calculations only support 

Dose (unit/kg) x weight (kg) to give a Unit / dose calculation

Suggesting

Add support for different mathematics  specifically BSA dose calculations.

One problem is that different groups use different BSA coeffecients - ie we dont all agree on the exact equations.

This may not be something for many in the OpenVPMS community, but I thought I'd bring it up here as a feature development request.

I am wanting to automate the billing of our hospitalisation charges.

My idea is:

* When a patient is transferred into a particular hospital worklist, a charge is added to the bill "Hospital Admit" ie $200

* Each patient that is in a particular hospital worklist at 6am or 6pm is charged "Hospitalisation" ie $100

Wondering if is is possible to develop a warning to reception for missed appointment on Workflow - Scheduling?

Ideally the reminder bell on the edge of the appointment flashing red and perhaps even an audible signal audible to reception. This is in frustration after years of asking reception to make a call to an owner if they have not arrived 10-15 minutes after the appointment is scheduled. It feels like some of them are asleep at the wheel.

Firstly we have a product/medication called "theatre fee" that has many fixed prices that can be charged when invoicing different procedures.

Is it possible to create a Surgical Procedure Template that selects the correct fixed price theatre fee to the template, or would I need to make all of my fixed prices an individual product?

I feel it previously did select and attach correctly and I have possibly entered something in incorrectly that has changed it.
